The observation of Lailatul Qadr requires physical endurance and mental focus, as the prayers extend from sunset ( Maghrib ) until the break of dawn ( Fajr ).

In Islam, Lailatul Qadr is considered a night of immense blessings and mercy. The Quran describes it as a night that is better than a thousand months (Quran 97:3). Muslims believe that on this night, Allah (God) descends to the earth and forgives the sins of those who seek forgiveness. Because the prayers last from dusk until the break of dawn (Fajr), preparation is key. Worshipers bring their own prayer mats ( Musalla ) and digital or physical copies of the Sahifa . To help the congregation sustain their physical energy through hours of standing and prostration, volunteers distribute water, tea, and light refreshments (such as dry fruits or traditional sweets) during scheduled breaks between namaz sets.
